Schedule for this Weekend
Saturday
6:15am Old Man Shoot Out. I will be there with whomever wants to join.
6:30 Big Boy Shoot Out. I believe that Alex S. and Richard will be out there and hopefully others.
10:30am Approx. I will have made it home and will be making breakfast for those that would like to come by.
Sunday April 18th
5am - 8am
I will be setting up the valet and our booth. Along with
Donovan and maybe others.
8am Bike Valet Starts
Schedule is as follows:
8am- 10am
Donovan and Marcos
10-11am
Logan and lizzy
11am-Noon
Logan and Connor
Noon- 1pm
Logan and Connor
This should cover the Valet area just fine. We must stay until 1pm or until all bikes have been picked up. Matt will be around most of the morning as well to help where needed, oh and maybe Nippy too.
I will be selling jerseys, bikes, and baked goods with the proceeds benefiting the team to be used how we need. Please feel free to bake goods and help sell stuff.
Cyclovia Kids Bike Rodeo
Ashley, Julia and Pablo will be running the rodeo at Catalina Park. The one on 4th av. just north of University. They will be there by 9:30 am setting up. I do not believe that they will need any help however they probably wouldn't mind a hello. They are doing that from 10am- 2pm.
1pm Kids Bike Parade
To enjoy Cyclovia I have said that I will lead a bike parade for kids. So come one and come all and have fun with your bike.

Crazy Weekend!!!! + Up Coming Events
Saturday April 17th—Shoot Out Old Man Style with some new guest appearances by Marcos, Nathan and Donovan. The ride starts at 6:15am and waits for nobody, so please be on time to my house. Also for all riders on the Shoot Out Old Man or Big Boy, I will be making breakfast for all at my house after the ride so, assuming that you might be hungry, I will make some food.
Sunday April 18th
5am- 8am Swap Meet Set Up
I will be setting up our area at the Bike Swap. I will again be in front of that little fenced in park next to BisonWitches, where we do the bike valet.
8am – 1pm Bike Valet
YES we are doing the bike valet again and so we will need help with this. All bike valet hours count towards GABA trips, so there is incentive. Please post what your available times are. Also I will need help at our booth selling stuff and promoting the team.
10-2pm CYCLOVIA
That’s right the great event that Daniela has been putting together for the city is on the same day. El Grupo has been asked to put on a Bike Rodeo at the park on 4th Ave. I am hoping that folks like Pablo, Julia, Kramer, Ricardo and Ashley all of whom are Bike Ambassadors can do the brunt of running this, because they can get paid. I am going to try and arrange a meeting between you all and me so we can figure that out. Wednesday night after practice at my house is one suggestion (Julia and Ashley will already be there)...does that work for others?

I am going to be leading a Kids Bicycle Parade at this time along the Cyclovia route and would like to have as many of you join me as possible. If you can that would be great. We will need to close down the bike valet at 1pm and have at least one person stay until every bike has been picked up.
April 24th Saturday
Whiskey Off Road MTB Race
Put on by Epic rides, the folks that do the 24 hour race. We will need to leave on Friday the 23rd after school and I would like to come home on Sunday. Of course there are some logistics that we have to figure out, but lets get through this weekend and go from there.
If you think that you would like to do this event then I need your waiver forms no later than Friday.

So please get it to me so I can get us paid and registered. I would recommend turning one in even if you are not sure if you are going to go or not. That way you have an option.

Colossal Cave Stage Race
Warning: This event is going to be a logistical nightmare!!
Why? Because there are 3 stages in 2 days and I will not be able to make it to either on Saturday.
Racing starts at 7am for the TT. Most riders should be there at least by 6:30am to sign in and warm up well.
The Crit for juniors, also on Saturday, starts at 3:50pm so riders should be there to sign in and warm up by 3pm at the latest.
On Sunday, juniors start the road race at 6:45am along with Cat 5, and Cat 4 goes off at 9:45am out at Colossal Cave. All of this information can be found at azcycling.com
I will be going on Sunday and can drive 4 riders and 4 bikes. I will be meeting those who need a ride at the clubhouse ready to leave at 5:15am (ouch!) I completely recognize that these times are ludicrous but it is what it is.
So, I absolutely need to hear from everyone who will be racing this weekend to know if you/your parent can drive, when, how many people they can take, if you will need a ride, if you will meet us all out there, what your situation is, etc. We need a lot of help with transportation for this event, but recognize that not everyone is able to or may go straight there based on where they live. Whatever help we can get would be awesome.
