Thursday Ride Recap

This week was a battle royale between Alex and Richard for the lilac jersey. Both riders traded first and second place finishes at each sprint point to tie it up at the end. Richard rode away from Alex on the final pitch in the tie breaking half lap on A Mountain to seal the deal.

The A group was a little smaller today, with notable absences from (old) Logan and Donovan. Young riders Nathan and Marcos were able to hold their own along with Alex, Richard, and Mike. Nathan lead out the sprint up Ironwood Hills to secure the third place point. Marcos stuck his head out in the wind at the start of the ride, and helped drive the first chase group, which successfully caught Richard and Alex at the base of A Mountain. For his efforts, Marcos was awarded the white jersey.

Everyone rode up A Mountain to the finish today! Special congratulations to Sam for making it to the top, and to Nippy for cheering him along.
